In Human form, Demona and MacBeth team up to capture Coldstone and reactivate him.  Coldstone's evil brother Iago's soul, who, along with Othello and Desdemona's souls, is trapped inside the Coldstone shell, takes control and aids Demona and MacBeth in capturing the Gargoyles of the Manhattan Clan.  When a Human Demona confronts Elisa with her plan to destroy the Gargoyles at Belvedere Castle at high noon, Elisa is challenged to come and rescue them, even though Demona warns that even if she does show up, Elisa still won't be able to save them, and it will most certainly cost her her life.  But, Demona continues, if she doesn't show up, Goliath and the rest of the Manhattan Clan will see what Human loyalty is really worth.  After a short confrontation with Morgan, a fellow police officer, Elisa finally realizes the reason that she became a cop in the first place - because they need her.  Strengthened with her newfound resolve, Elisa meets with Demona, Coldstone, and MacBeth at high noon.  A Human Demona prepares to obliterate Elisa with her laser cannon, but at the last moment is taunted into a one-on-one by her old foe MacBeth.  Within, Othello is finally convinced to intervene in the struggle by Desdemona, who the sisters are affecting, to stop Iago and save the Gargoyles.  When Coldstone turns on MacBeth, he summons an airship and escapes with Demona.  After freeing the Gargoyles from their chains, Coldstone decides to leave, explaining to Elisa that the battle between the three souls within him continues still, and until that battle is decided, no living Gargoyle is safe from Coldstone.  Elisa, finally overcome with exhaustion, leans back against Goliath's statue and takes a nap.  The screen flashes to a defeated MacBeth and Demona, who are arguing about losing Coldstone, the Gargoyles, and Elisa.  When MacBeth tells her that Coldstone's retrieval was never their primary objective; that their goal was to steal the Grimoram Arcanorum , the Phoenix Gate, and the Eye of Odin, Demona remembers in confusion how she used a spell from the Grimoram to shield them from prying eyes at the clock tower and at the park.  In agitation, she demands of MacBeth why they stole the three talismans, and MacBeth, in his turn, demands why they are even working together.  Just as the two are about to attack each other, the three sisters appear and collect the talismans, commenting how you can only spell someone against their nature for so long, and hinting at an upcoming battle in which the three talismans will do quite nicely.
OPINION
A good episode which portrays Elisa well. Sets the stage perfectly for the AVALON trilogy.
