Heh heh heh... now for the only section anybody reads! the desserts!

Deep Dish Brownies
1/2 C butter or margarine, melted
1 C sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 C all-purpose flour
1/3 C cocoa
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 C chopped pecans (optional)
Creamy Brownie Frosting
(optional, recipe follows)
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease square pan, 9x9x2 inchs. In
a large mixing bowl blend melted butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add
eggs; using spoon, beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder
and salt; gradually blend into egg mixture. Stir in pecans, if desired.
Spread into prepared pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies
begin to pull away from sides of pan. Cool; frost with Creamy Brownie
Frosting, if desired. Cut into squares. Makes about 16 brownies.
Creamy Brownie Frosting
3 Tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
3 Tablespoons cocoa
1 Tablespoon light corn syrup or honey
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 C confectioners' sugar
1 to 2 Tablespoons milk
In small mixing bowl cream butter, cocoa, corn syrup, and vanilla.
Add
confectioners' sugar and milk; beat to spreading consistancy. Makes
about 1 cup frosting. |
